Meet the Kids: David Mulwani
At Karen Academy, supported by ForAfricanJews.org, we are dedicated to nurturing and educating the next generation of leaders within the African Jewish community. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive education that blends secular and Jewish teachings, empowering our students with knowledge, skills, and values for life.
David Mulwani’s Story
Today, we are excited to introduce you to one of our precious students, David Mulwani. David is a shining example of the positive impact Karen Academy has on the lives of our children. Here’s what he has to say about his experience at Karen Academy:
My name is David Mulwani. My school is Karen P/S. What Karen has done for me:
- Helped me to learn the four questions on Pesach (Passover).
- Has made me making Kidusho on Shabbat.
- Made me love humanity.
David’s heartfelt words reflect the essence of our educational approach. At Karen Academy, we focus not only on academic excellence but also on instilling a deep appreciation for Jewish traditions and values.

Our current resources are limited, with temporary structures and scarce access to essential scholastic materials, nutritious meals, and adequate water supply. However, we remain committed to overcoming these obstacles to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
