Rooted in Tradition, Focused on Independence
We support Jews living in Africa and preserve their cultural heritage. By providing resources for aid, connection, education, and career growth, we empower communities to celebrate their identity and thrive.
The Birth of 'For Our African Jews'
On Motsi Shabbat, December 10, 2022, founder Simcha-Chaya Ben Avraham lost her beloved sister, Purity. Purity was a beacon of light, deeply dedicated to the welfare of her community. Simcha-Chaya traveled to Scotland to be by her side during her final hours, funded by community donations.
In honoring Purity's memory and expressing gratitude to the community, Simcha-Chaya transformed grief into a permanent force for good. The Purity Project is an endeavor to extend community support, Jewish education, and job training across emerging Jewish communities in Africa. It is a tribute to a sister's love and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
"Purity's Project is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and an affirmation of the belief in the power of community."
We Build Connections
We push for financial independence in our communities by collaborating with local businesses and city officials to provide remote jobs, digital skills training, and professional development workshops. Rather than handouts, we provide structural pathways to sustainable income.
We Support the Vulnerable
We run pre-screened aid programs for the elderly and those facing emergency medical or burial expenses. We also focus heavily on youth engagement—giving hope and educational opportunities to the next generation of African Jewish children.
