March 2024 Roster & Welfare Summary

The Karen Nursery & Primary School serves both local Jewish pupils and orphaned children from the surrounding Jinja District. As of our audited March 2024 academic cycle, the school supports exactly 107 students enrolled across four levels (Nursery through Primary Four).

Welfare & Nutrition: Nutrition is foundational to classroom success. The academy provides daily hot breakfasts and lunches for all children, alongside structured Kabalat Shabbat community meals on Friday evenings.

Critical Visitors: On March 7, 2024, the school was visited by Fatuma Nakagori of Innovation Africa, who evaluated our solar-water connections and structural capacities, noting the remarkable community-led growth of the Nakagyo classrooms.

Student Story

Meet David Mulwani

David Mulwani is a pupil at the Karen Nursery & Primary School. He represents the hope, intellectual curiosity, and determination of Nakagyo’s youth.

Before finding a place at the academy, children like David had limited access to structured educational resources, language learning, and consistent daily nutrition. Today, through recurring community sponsorship, David and 106 of his peers study English, Hebrew, and general primary curricula under stable classroom guidance.

Your direct tuition sponsorships ensure children like David receive standard uniforms, learning booklets, daily hot breakfasts and lunches, and secure study settings.

Take Direct Action

Unlike large international organizations, we publish our setbacks openly. We believe honesty builds deeper partnerships with our supporters. Currently, the Karen Junior Academy faces two primary operational hurdles:

01
School Uniform Shortage

Most children attend school without standard uniforms. This affects the public perception of the school within the town council and compromises student security outside the school bounds.

02
Teacher Allowance Deficits

Our founding educators work tirelessly, but unstable monthly funding means payments are frequently delayed. Sustaining their families requires regular monthly allowance sponsorship.
