The Artist: Simcha-Chaya Ben Avraham
I am a Zimbabwean artist who embraced Judaism and made Aliyah to Israel. My art is a vivid tapestry of cultural, spiritual, and geographical transitions. It captures the rich, warm colors of my Zimbabwean roots, the profound ancient geometry of Jewish scripture, and the daily resilience of building a home in the land of Israel.
Through ZimAliyah, I translate these physical and spiritual migrations into digital canvas illustrations. It is the story of Aliyah—meaning "ascent"—combined with the soil of Zimbabwe and Jinja.

The Mission: For Our African Jews
'For Our African Jews' is an organization dedicated to uniting African Jews from different countries and cultures and supporting their needs. We aim to foster a sense of unity and belonging among African Jews, offering resources to support personal, educational, and career goals.

The "ZimAliyah for Unity" collection serves a dual purpose. It celebrates Simcha-Chaya's unique journey while also supporting the mission of 'For Our African Jews.'
Each artwork in the collection is an NFT, a unique digital asset verified using blockchain technology on OpenSea. A portion of the proceeds from each artwork sold directly funds the career development workshops, community support allowances, and nursery school student meals in Nakagyo, Uganda.
